Floridians warned about ID data breach at Wyndham Hotels

February 22, 2009
Attorney General Bill McCollum is warning Floridians to monitor their credit statements to ensure their personal information was not compromised as a result of a data breach at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. The data compromise was caught and disabled but may have affected the credit or debit card data of up to 21,000 Florida residents. Affected customers are encouraged to obtain a free fraud alert from one of the credit reporting agencies, report any suspicious contacts or activities on their accounts to law enforcement and notify banks and creditors of questionable charges on accounts. For information: Go to SunSentinel.com/wyndham or call the Florida Attorney General's Citizens Services Hotline at 866-9NOSCAM (866-966-7226). — Daniel Vasquez
